Dear MLCES Parents,

Mary Lee Clark is excited to have a comprehensive web-based mathematics program called IXL.   This program affords teachers the ability to offer students additional practice in a self-paced, user-friendly setting. Math teachers will utilize the grade level activities for review as well as acceleration.  IXL will be used in the classroom, the lab setting, MLCES tutoring programs and the home, if parents choose.  No grades are associated with this program; however, students can earn program awards for skill mastery. Students should work in their grade level as assigned unless otherwise directed by the math teacher.

Each student will have his/her unique login and password which allows teachers, parents, and students to monitor progress. Each account may be accessed from home by visiting www.IXL.com and logging into the student account.  Your child’s username/password will reflect this example:

Username: JDoe@mlc

Password:  abc123

Again, the staff at Mary Lee Clark is excited about the many instructional possibilities with the implementation of this program.  If you have any questions, please contact your child’s math teacher or Mr. Neil Aldridge, MLCES program coordinator, by e-mail at ialdridge@camden.k12.ga.us.

Educationally yours,
Laurie Sutton
